Mr. Greenfield is a Partner, Chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice and a member of the firm’s Financial Services Practice. He is a Certified Specialist in Business Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights by the American Board of Certification. Through peer review, he has received the highest rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Greenfield represents both corporate debtors and creditors, including secured lenders, official creditor committees, commercial lessors, national and regional financial institutions, financing companies and trustees in bankruptcy throughout the United States. He is widely known to excel in reorganizations and liquidations, loan restructurings and out-of-court workouts. He handles numerous matters in the Ohio state and federal courts involving receiverships, mechanic’s liens, collections, foreclosures, and issues arising under the Uniform Commercial Code.

Mr. Greenfield has been recognized by his peers as one of “The Best Lawyers in America” in the field of Bankruptcy (©Woodward/White Inc. of Aiken, S.C.), and an “Ohio Super Lawyer” (Cincinnati Magazine). In 2000, the Commercial Law League of America awarded Mr. Greenfield with the League’s President’s Cup for his meritorious service.

Mr. Greenfield is an Emeritus Director of the American Board of Certification of Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights, and serves as an Editor of the Commercial Law League’s Journal and Bulletin and Commercial Damages, Matthew Bender (1985-present). He has served on the Board of Directors of INSOL International, was past Chair of the Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Section and former Board of Trustee member of the Cleveland Bar Association. Mr. Greenfield is a former member of the Board of Governors, Chairman Bankruptcy Insolvency Section and Chairman for the Midwest Region of the Commercial Law League of America, and former Chairman of the American Board of Certification
